Terms of Service

These Terms govern use of Flashback, a service provided by Louis Rädisch & Gabriel Pechstein POVlib GbR, St. Petersburger Str. 26, 01069 Dresden, Germany ("Flashback", "we" or "us"). Full provider and contact details are in our Legal Notice.

Feature-specific rules, including published Challenge Rules, supplement these Terms. If they conflict, the feature-specific rules control only for that feature. Mandatory law always prevails.

You must provide accurate account information, keep credentials secure and use only accounts you are authorized to use. One person may not operate multiple accounts to evade restrictions or manipulate a competition. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

You must be at least 16 to hold an account. A feature or prize challenge may set a higher minimum age. Where local law requires consent from a parent or guardian, you may use Flashback only with that consent.

Flashback analyzes and presents game, account and community data. Connected services such as FACEIT, Clerk, Skool, Steam and hosting providers are independent third parties with their own terms. We do not control their availability or the accuracy and timing of data they supply.

Statistics, rankings, recommendations and analysis are informational outputs. They can be corrected when verified source data is delayed, incomplete or wrong. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, but we will use reasonable care in operating the service.

Do not break the law; infringe another person's rights; upload malicious or unlawful material; harass others; scrape, overload or bypass security controls; reverse engineer protected parts of the service; or use cheats, bots, account sharing, smurfing, boosting or false data to manipulate a result.

You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, process, reproduce and display that content only as reasonably necessary to provide, secure and improve the service. You confirm that you have the rights needed to give us that licence.

A challenge page identifies its host and its prize provider. Unless the Challenge Rules expressly name Flashback as prize provider, the host funds, confirms and delivers the advertised prizes and handles host-specific eligibility. Flashback supplies technical registration, source-data processing and provisional standings. This allocation does not limit liability for our own duties under these Terms.

Challenge scoring, dates, eligibility, tie-breakers and prizes are governed by the rules shown before you join. Material retroactive changes are not permitted. An objectively necessary integrity, legal or technical correction must be proportionate, documented and communicated to affected participants.

The host or Flashback may investigate and suspend or disqualify a participant on reasonable evidence of a material violation. Except where an immediate temporary measure is necessary, the participant will be given the material reason and a reasonable opportunity to respond before a final prize decision.

You may stop using Flashback at any time. We may restrict or terminate access where reasonably necessary for security, a material breach, legal compliance or protection of other users. Where appropriate, we will give notice and an opportunity to remedy the issue. Rights and obligations that by their nature survive termination remain in effect.

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence; for injury to life, body or health; for liability under the German Product Liability Act; and to the extent we expressly give a guarantee.

For slight negligence, we are liable only for breach of an obligation whose performance is essential to the contract and on whose performance you may regularly rely. In that case, liability is limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this contract. Otherwise, liability for slight negligence is excluded. These limits also apply to our legal representatives and agents. Mandatory statutory liability remains unaffected.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we process personal data, including connected account identifiers, match data and challenge participation records.

We may update these Terms for changes in law, security, technology or the service. Changes must be reasonable and may not disturb an agreed balance to your unreasonable disadvantage. We will announce material changes in advance where reasonably possible. If consent is legally required, we will ask for it.

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, this choice does not deprive you of mandatory protections of the country where you habitually reside. Dresden is the exclusive venue only for merchants, public-law entities and users without a general venue in Germany; otherwise statutory venue rules apply.

We are not obliged and do not undertake to participate in dispute-resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board. You can contact us first at contact@flashback.gg. Your right to use the courts remains unaffected.
